A day with Mnemy and Lethe. (well we only have a mnemy) lol
Galaxia woke up refreshed and ready for her trip home. She got up and changed then wrote a note to Kakyuu.
Kakyuu,
I’m going to my palace to check on Mnemy and Lethe. Don’t worry about me I’ll be back in 2 days, I promise.
Love,
Galaxia
She taped it on Kakyuu’s door hoping it would get to her, and with that she disappeared into thin air.
In a few moments she was at the gates of the rivers. She knocked politely and two girls opened the door. Twins, her river guardians.
They looked at her, probably wondering what made their queen return. “To the palace please. I need to speak with both of you.”
They all gathered in the river boat and rowed towards the palace. Once there, Galaxia motioned them towards the palace gates. “Please come in, you two. I’ll make some tea. We need to discuss some things.”
Once in the palace Galaxia looked around her home. Nothing had changed. She motioned the girls to the couch, “please sit.”
Mnmemosyne had come to visit Lethe at her post near the North Gate when they heard the knock. Although their ears could only faintly hear the polite tap of the gate, the sound reverberated within their bodies, so connected were they to all that surrounded them at the River. Without needing to speak, the two drew their hoods over their heads and summoned their silver oars as they transported side by side to the Gate.
The sight of their Queen made Mnemosyne’s heart jump to her throat for a moment. The River Guardian had been worried about her queen while she had been living on Earth. She had almost felt compelled to go to make sure her majesty was alright, however she didn’t want to impede upon her time with her friends. Sailor Mnemosyne and Sailor Lethe opened one gate each and kneeled as their queen walked between them. The gates fell closed behind them as they walked the short distance to the river, where Mnemosyne extended her arm and summoned the boat to them. Lethe got on first, taking her position at the back of the boat, while Mnemosyne helped the queen aboard before standing at the back of the boat with Lethe. Lethe oared the boat until they reached the gates to the palace, where Mnemosyne helped the queen depart the boat once again.
Mnemosyne was startled when the queen asked them to join her inside so casually. Mnemosyne looked over to Lethe to see her consent for leaving the river and received it in a small nod. She stretched her senses out to feel out the entire region of space within the North and South gates and sensing no threats, she allowed herself to bow her head at the Queens back and follow her inside. Queen Galaxia then motioned the girls to the couch, which made Mnemosyne’s eyebrows furrow in confusion. Sailor Lethe and Sailor Mnemosyne were not often called into the palace itself for such meetings – although Mnemosyne had entered the palace to serve and aid the Queen when ill or recovering – but on the occasions that the girls were summoned the meetings had been more formal than this.
“We shan’t-” Mnemosyne started, before remembering her place. Mnemosyne only served the Queen and could therefore not question her judgement. So although she would have felt far more comfortable kneeling before her queen in the throne room, Mnemosyne perched herself lightly on an ornate settee. With her back straight, her hands folded in her lap and her legs crossed at the ankles, she reminded herself of her time before Galaxia and the many hours of tuition on posture in the royal court. Of course, she needed no assistance in her memories of those times with the River playing with her mind. She deftly banished the surging memories that attempted to steal into her focus, her attempts successful now that she had distraction from them. She made sure her face hid any of the uncertainties and discomfort and she gave a small smile to the Queen to show she was paying attention; however she dare not speak first. To do so would be poor manners.
ooc: I’ll play Lethe as well and Mnemosyne in this thread, however I will naturally focus of Mnemosyne. If I don’t specify something for Lethe, you can assume she’s doing similar to Mnem. Also, I apologise that some of this is irrelevant to Galaxia herself. I just had to get the last of her personal reflections out before she got into it all. You can ignore those bits. =)
